In addition to the above, The Caldecott Foundation makes regular savings for all young people at the following rate:

  • Age 5-10 / £3 per week;
  • Age 11-15 / £6 per week;
  • Age 16-18 / £8 per week.

This allowance is held by the finance department and is passed on when the child leaves the Caldecott Foundation. It may be passed to the placing authority or directly to the child depending on individual circumstances.

In addition to the above allowances the Registered Manager is also responsible for ensuring there are appropriate financial arrangements in place to meet the children’s needs. This includes, but is not limited to, holidays and festivals (e.g. Christmas, birthdays), allowances for new children moving in, allowances for children moving on from the home, activities and leisure, toiletries, haircuts etc. Further details of these allowances are available from the finance department.
